What to prepare during a California Craft Show

By Sive Iver

When you know where and when you will have your first craft show and researched on what is needed to make a realistic investment. You have also decided on how much your product will cost. A price that will not be too expensive those customers will not buy or too cheap that you will not profit from.

You will still need to make other preparations before attending your first craft show. It is better to prepare your business card because most customers will ask for one. They will ask fro one because they might need to make a purchase after the craft show. Or have more questions to ask when they get home.

It is also important to prepare for a credit card machine. Some customers prefer to purchase with their credit card instead of carrying cash especially when they purchase big items. So have a credit card machine ready so that you wont loose your sale to other vendors.

Craft shows are not only physically tiring but it can also be emotionally tiring. Make sure to have other family members around to help you out. When your family is busy at taking care of your business then it will be time for you to mingle. It is time to talk with your customers and other vendors.

A craft show gives you a lot of opportunity to put your best foot forward. There are customers that have the tendency to purchase items that they have seen being made in front of them. Try planning out a way that you can create a craft or art in front of your customers. Also make a schedule on when you will have a live show on how you make your crafts. This will help your customers to schedule the time they will visit your booth again.
